About 10 days ago I got my internet hooked up and all was well right? I thought so too. However, when I went to hook up my Vonage VoIP telephone, it didn’t work. Never one to give up, I spent many hours online with tech support (a cruel joke trying to get support w/o a phone) trying to figure out the problem. In the end, I had to send the damn equipment back for replacements. This wouldn’t have been so bad if it hadn’t taken the damn thing 6 weeks to show up in the first place and if it hadn’t just been sitting next to my computer collecting dust. So about 7 days ago I wrapped it all back up and sent it priority back to the company. The post office told me it would take 7-10 days to get there from here. Bleh. I also figured it would take another 6 weeks to get my replacement hardware. However, today I received my replacement equipment. It was sent priority! I can’t believe it! After a few hiccups during setup, I’ve even managed to get the damn thing working. Holy hell! How awesome is it? Very. I can now call everybody back in the states with no long distance fees, only a $27 monthly bill. :-)
