Outside anyway. :-)
Sharron and I spent all of her Yen on Friday at a home store. We bought 2 evergreen trees, more grass seed and some dirt. We also ordered our Japanese stone lantern as they didn’t have any in stock. We then went to the base and bought 14 flowers. We were going to work on the yard all weekend, but sadly it rained on Saturday. We worked pretty hard on Sunday and were able to get everything done. :-)
In the back corners of our yard there are now quarter circle flower beds. Each with a tree in the back. We also cut all the grass we have with the weed eater and weeded the spaces on the sides of the house (there were some 6′ weeds growing!). Once we get the lantern in, hopefully Saturday, I’ll take some pictures.
Our next project is to de-rock the yard and to buy a Japanese Maple tree to plant in the front yard. Surprisingly they’re only about $15 here. :-)
Since we made such a push to get all the yard work done on Sunday, we’ve both been exhausted this week. This was bad for me as I had to take a fitness test this morning. By my calculations I got 74.95. I need a 75 to pass. Here’s hoping they round up!
I recently checked the AUM webpage to see if my grades had been posted. It looks like I got an A on my independent study class. If that is true that I am officially graduated with a Masters in Business Administration. Now all I need is a diploma to prove it! :-)
If it’s true, then congratulations!
Go Pat! Go Pat! You might be graduated! It’s your birthday!
Except for that last part… :P
Well, that’s pretty close anyway. Only 11 days until the 28th and I turn 29! :-)
Hey Pat, they’re not rounding on the PT scores. One of my troops got a 74.96, and they put him on the Fat Boy program. So good luck on the next test. For waht it’s worth, you should be able to retest in, like, a month, and if you get a 75 then, you should be good to go.
Congrats on graduation, and I’ll second the early Happy Birthday!
I love Japanese Maples. They’re definitely one of my favorite trees. Enjoy getting them for so cheap!
PS– I’ve moved my blog to http://www.effika.net/blog/.
