I have to admit, it’s not very merry for me here. I’ve been trying to stay very positive, but it’s terribly hard. Sharron has been extra awesome and we’ve talked on the phone a lot lately which has helped a lot. I am definitely not in as bad of a place as I could be and we’ve even had Christmas parties and today they’re serving up a big feast all day long. It’s all good stuff and helps, but it’s just not home, you know?
How has your Christmas been?
A while back our office received a large package filled with goodies. Along with the package came an envelope filled with letters from elementary school children. This is not uncommon, but the letter I picked out turned out to be the best of the bunch. It contains possibly the funniest line from any letter I’ve ever received, “My dog Joe just told me to thank you for his freedom to go to the bathroom anywhere he wants.” :-)
Last night I was feeling pretty blue, so I decided to sit down with an old favorite, Star Wars. I realized that it had actually been several years since I’d watched it in its entirety. Wow, it’s pretty good isn’t it? Heck, I even laughed at the jokes in several places and got excited during the exciting bits. I felt like a little kid all over again. It wasn’t the long term cure for depression that Sharron will be, but it definitely helped.
Here is the site I mentioned where I requested Smallville:
