Boredom

After the big inspection we had on base in March, my office has been a lot less busy. We’ll still be having regular exercises to practice for the next big inspection, but it’s not even close to the same amount of work required. This has caused me to be quite bored. I hate hate hate being bored at work. Of course, boredom just makes me explore ways to find things to do. The internet is often involved in these ways. For instance, I’ve been reading the news a lot more. I always read the my yahoo news, but now I’ve been reading CNN and a bunch of other sources. That keeps me busy for an hour or more each morning. I of course have also been looking for ways to do my own job better. I’m in charge of the base’s Operational Security program and as such have to keep the personnel in line. Part of that is to make sure they’re not throwing away sensitive information. What that means to me is that I have to perform random inspections of the dumpsters on base. Wow, it’s not a very fun job, but what I find is always interesting. Last week I found a bag that contained what appeared to be the entire contents of some one’s desk. This included all of his personal records. The craziest thing I found were copies of his family social security cards. Crazy huh?

Here’s something I found online that I thought was pretty funny. :-)

Obi-Wan and Anakin
