Not Fired!

Today I went to meet with one of my bosses and she told me she’s very pleased with my work.  She then proceeded to give me another project to work on in addition to my current one.  So basically I’ve done well enough in my first month here that I’m not fired.  Woo hoo!  Being employed is good.

Last week Sharron got a call from the movers.  Our stuff was in town.  They told us they could only deliver it on Feb 7, 14 or 21.  All Thursdays.  We wanted it as soon as possible, so we elected to receive it on the 7th.  Of course, I was in a training class that day and couldn’t get out of it, so Sharron bravely went it alone.  She had to deal with the movers, roofers and tilers that day.  Crazy!  At any rate, we got our stuff!

  • Pat,

Congratulations on not getting fired. I just finished reading your last few entries…You have been busy! Seems like yesterday we were skiing in CO–in fact, you might remember Sully; he now works the National Reconnaissance Office in Chantilly Va. Jonathan Halligan also separated and is now a consultant for BearingPoint.

Now that you have my email, please send me yours and your new address. Angela and I live in Northern Virginia and have 4 kids and 3.5 goldfish.

Hope all is well with you and Sharron. Suggest you get a book by James Lewis “The Project Manager’s Handbook”. I find it very useful.

    Cheers,

    Ron
