I liked Sharron’s last title, so I stoled it!
Last weekend, Sharron and I drove down to County Line Nissan. We’d heard their radio ads and were intrigued. We looked at Murano’s, Maxima’s and Altima’s but only ended up test driving 2 Murano’s. The first was a 2005 and the second a 2009. We didn’t notice much of a difference between the two, but really liked them. Our service rep told us that we could get the ’05 for less than 20K, so we started negotiations. (I know, we’re crazy!) The first number he came back to us with was 26K. Not exactly less than 20. Not even close to be precise. The rest of the negotiations went this way. They never went below 23K and that was before taxes, title and fees. To bring this into focus, the 2009 we looked at STARTED at 26K, only 10K higher. So for an extra 10K (and really, that wouldn’t change our payments much) we could get a brand new car versus one that had 55K miles and was 4 years old. Anybody else see a problem with this picture? We walked. Of course, now we’re hooked on Murano’s and are looking for them at other dealers. :-)
After looking at cars for several hours, we told the GPS to take us to Krispy Kreme. We knew one was close, so we’d planned the day this way. We found it, and there was much rejoicing. I’ve been eating donuts with breakfast all week. :-)
We also knew that there was a Melting Pot fondue restaurant nearish by, so we input their address into the GPS and arrived just before 5PM. Their food is always good and we had a great time. We tried a different cheese and chocolate than usual just to spice things up. I wouldn’t say it was as good as our usuals, but you have to branch out sometimes right!?
Work is going well. I hope to be making a name for myself here and that I’ll have many more years of success. I got an email from my old boss at Yokota and one of my programs was rated as “Best Seen To Date”. Awesome.
